In Africa, the demand for refrigeration and air conditioning is skyrocketing. This growing need presents a major concern: increasing energy consumption and the widespread use of gases that are harmful to the climate and to our health.
Sénégal, Mali, Burkina Faso and Cameroon have joined forces with the European Union and Germany to implement sustainable solutions through the project: Ozone- and Climate-Friendly Cooling in West and Central Africa. In one word, ROCA.
ROCA stands for "Ozone and Climate Friendly Cooling in West and Central Africa". The project is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
