In this side event, we explained our approach and showcased examples of technology transfers in different refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) subsectors around the globe, drawing on 30 years of Proklima’s experience. To discuss this we were joined by guest speakers Heidi Stockhaus (German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety), Leslie Smith (NOU Grenada) and Federico San Martini (MLF Secretariat).

Most of the green alternatives presented here are already available in several countries. By “green” technology, it is referred to devices or appliances that have zero impact on the ozone layer, ultra-low or zero Global Warming Potential (GWP below 10) and are also highly energy efficient.
