For strengthening cooperation and ensuring accurate environmental reporting, the Philippine Environmental Management Bureau’s Ozone Desk (EMB‑POD) and GIZ visited Bosch’s air conditioning factory in April. The visit concluded with a facility tour showcasing key equipment. The Bosch facility has an air enthalpy psychrometric test chamber to ensure compliance with minimum energy performance standards (MEPS).
The primary objective of the engagement was to validate data submitted by Bosch (formerly Johnson Control Hitachi), discuss current industry best practices, and ensure the company's full alignment with national reporting requirements. This initiative marks a significant step in the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders in the refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) sector, fostering a unified approach to environmental management and regulatory compliance.
