A non-profit organisation for environmental standards within the EU
ECOS is a non-profit organisation working to ensure that standards, product ecological policies and labelling schemes reflect the societal perspective and take into account the environmental interests. ECOS’ work aims to combat climate change, foster energy and resource efficiency and protect environmental health.
By fighting for environmental concerns to be included in standards, ECOS has contributed to improve the environmental performance of products during their whole life-cycle, warrant sound measurement methods for pollutants and energy-savings and ensure the provision of clear information to consumers towards sustainable consumption.
