Bandung State Polytechnic (Politeknik Negeri Bandung) was founded in 1982 under the name ITB Polytechnic because it is under the auspices of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). ITB Polytechnic opens a diploma education program (three years) in engineering.
The first four study programs of the ITB Polytechnic are:
Civil Engineering (Department of Civil Engineering)
Mechanical Engineering (Department of Mechanical Engineering)
Electronic Engineering (Department of Electrical Engineering)
Electrical Engineering (Department of Electrical Engineering)
In 1987 and 2002, several new departments were developed, one of which was the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering. It strives to provide quality education, increase research in order to support the development of a national industry and improve internal and external cooperation.
