1.5 Bn people worldwide live without grid electricity. At least half of them could benefit from an off-grid cooling system for uses such as medicines and food. This would have a massive socio-economic impact.
In addition to this, we forecast that an average Mediterranean home using 4 kW of solar cooling would save approximately 13,000 kWh per year. This means saving €3,000 and 7 tonnes of CO2.
Solar Polar solutions have a great potential in tackling these numbers, because it is affordable, modular and off-grid.
