How can the right choice of technology help protect the environment? Which policies can countries chose to enter a climate-friendly pathway? How to reverse ozone layer depletion? In times of climate emergency, HEAT provides advisory services as well as capacity building for the future. With a history of supporting Germany, as well as developing countries and economies in transition in their fight against the depletion of the earth’s protective ozone layer, the sustainable transition of the refrigeration and cooling sector is still at the core of our work. In particular, we provide emission inventories and mitigation pathways, advice on the development of policies, regulations and standards, as well as engineering services. We passionately develop capacity building and training to anchor knowledge on climate-friendly and energy-efficient technologies in our project partners’ countries and institutions. HEAT has implemented more than 300 projects in over 25 years. Our 40 staff members and experts currently assist projects in 30 countries. …

Howe Corporation is a 111-year old manufacturing company specializing in flake ice machines for food retail and industrial processing applications. In 2009 we developed CO2 compatible ice flakers for the supermarket industry. Since that time, we have expanded our units to include models for Direct expansion (sub & trans-critical) as well as expanding our production capacities. Our natural refrigerant lineup also includes a large selection of ammonia machine models producing from 2000 pounds, up through 20,000 pounds of flaker ice per 24 hours, designed for light and full industrial applications. We continue to monitor the under 150 GWP market to adjust to needs of our customers and the industry. Howe also offers ice storage bins compatible with other ice machines. …

HyChill refrigerants are produced from naturally occurring hydrocarbon gases, which are purified and blended using unique HyChill processes. The end result is the brand renowned for its consistency and quality. HyChill refrigerants have no ozone impact and minimal GWP. HyChill hydrocarbon refrigerants have been adopted as ideal replacement for synthetic refrigerants such as R134a, R22, R404a or R410a in most air conditioning, refrigeration and heating applications. InvenSor GmbH develops and produces adsorption chillers driven by heat at its site in Berlin. The chillers cool using waste heat, e.g. from CHP units, solar installations and industrial production processes. The refrigerant is the most eco-friendly in the world: pure water.
