The Slovak Association for Cooling, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps (SZ CHKT) has begun translating GIZ Proklima's 'Fit for Green Cooling' material on establishing an effective system for qualification, certification and registration (QCR) of RAC technicians.
The material translated is part of the 'Fit for Green Cooling' training material developed by GIZ Proklima to facilitate the setting up of a QCR framework which is designed according to international standards. The 14 modules, consisting of both theoretical and practical training sessions, offer comprehensive guidance on topics ranging from refrigeration basics to the design of complex RAC systems. The material focuses on natural refrigerants, thereby directly supporting countries in their efforts to phase down climate-damaging HFCs.
To access the original training material visit our Fit for Green Cooling webpage and register for free. It is available in English, Spanish, and French.
While Proklima provides the original material, it is not involved in the translation process to Slovak. This is carried out solely by SZ CHKT. Currently, five documents are available on the SZ CHKT website, covering topics such as the safe handling of refrigerants and an introduction to the use of CO2 and ammonia in refrigeration. They are accessible only to members of the association.
