12.10.2022 News Ad-hoc Working Group Meetings of CooPSA in Eswatini, Botswana, Namibia

In September 2022  representatives of climate change, ozone and energy departments of national ministries of Eswatini, Botswana and Namibia, as well as national standard representatives and academia, met to discuss for the first time with GIZ and GFA Consulting Group the status quo and way forward of the Cooling Program for Southern Africa (CooPSA).

In August and September, the first Cool trainings took place in Latin America. Costa Rica hosted more than 35 participants for two national and one regional training.
 

10.10.2022 News R290 Units at the Cold Chain Innovation Hub

From 6-8 September 2022, Cool Contributions Fighting Climate Change Phase II (C4II) supported the Technology Training Week at the Cold Chain Innovation Hub (CCI) in the Philippines. The Hub is cooled by two R290 split air conditioning units provided in the first Phase of C4.

On the last days of the Duterte administration on 23 June 2022, the Philippines ratified the Kigali Amendments to the Montreal Protocol. The announcement was made by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources on 15 September 2022 as part of the Philippine activities to celebrate World Ozone Day.
