European Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) on HFC phase-down: Implementing the Kigali Amendment and Beyond. Sharing experiences and best practices amongst National Ozone Units, climate change and energy efficiency experts of major HFC producing and consuming countries to phase down climate damaging HFCs in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
The purpose of this paper is to highlight the synergistic advantages of cooperation among climate, energy, and ozone departments by introducing the context
of collaborative frameworks and efforts that can enhance our commitment to climate action in the cooling sector.
The “European Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) on HFC phase-down”, a dialogue series that took place from November 2023 to February 2024, brought together
these three communities to discuss joint efforts and best practices to organize ambitious phase-down scenarios jointly.
