03.05.2023 News Trainers, Technicians and Dealers in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trained in Green Cooling
Several treaties on the control and elimination of substances that contribute to global warming have been signed worldwide. These include the Vienna Convention for the protection of the ozone layer, the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the Ozone layer, the Kyoto Protocol, and most recently, the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.

31.07.2024 News Training of trainers on Eco-friendly refrigerants in Bangladesh
With global temperatures rising, urbanization progressing, and economies growing, the demand for cooling solutions is increasing rapidly. Unfortunately, many of the current refrigerants harm the environment and significantly contribute to global temperature rise. In 2023, the refrigeration sector was responsible for an estimated ten to twelve percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. To combat this, the international community has committed in the Montreal Protocol to phase out ozone-depleting substances, which also have a high global warming potential, such as CFCs and HCFCs. In the Kigali Amendment, they have agreed on phasing-down climate damaging HFCs. In response to these challenges, a five-day training of trainers took place at the Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Centre (BKTTC), Dhaka in May 2024.

31.07.2024 News Theory, Practice and Networking - A Brazilian Cool Training
16 technicians and trainers in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector came to Maintal in Germany from Brazil. They participated in a two-weeks training and learnt how to handle natural refrigerants.

29.07.2024 News National Ozone Units - Cool Training in Germany

31.07.2024 News Side Events at OEWG46 - Accelerating the transition to future friendly cooling
To break the vicious circle of rising temperatures, growing demand for cooling and constantly increasing greenhouse gas emissions from cooling, we need to switch to Green Cooling. Our first side event at the OEWG46 in Montreal provided insights into the interactions between suitable regulatory frameworks and market trends that are accelerating future friendly ACs and heat pumps usage in China and Europe. The second side event put spotlight on a sustainable refrigerant management to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as well as ozone-depleting substances from end-of-life cooling equipment.

24.07.2024 News Cool Training in Thailand
18 air conditioner and refrigeration (RAC) technicians had the chance to participate in a Cool Training in Thailand. They learnt how to handle the natural refrigerant R290.
