Hydrocarbon refrigerants have many advantages: They have no ozone depletion potential, a very low or no climate impact and better energy efficiency properties. However, they are highly flammable and must therefore be handled with care. Training RAC technicians on the safe handling of these flammable refrigerants is crucial. Against this background, the National Ozone Unit (NOU) of the Kenyan Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Ouvrira une nouvelle fenêtre) organised a three-day training for RAC technicians in cooperation with GIZ Proklima.
