    For this Cool Talk, we have had the opportunity to interview Tommy Scavone. Tommy has a bachelor in economics and marketing, and a master’s in international business management. He started working in the refrigeration industry when he started working for Rivacold in 2013. Within Rivacold, he worked for 8 years at the Italian HQs as Export Manager for the UK and Ireland areas, and as a project leader for the American Business Unit Start-up. Then after 8 years he relocated to the US in 2021, to become sales manager at Rivacold America which is responsible for the food retail segment and special applications throughout the North American region. Rivacold was established in 1966 as a supplier of condensing units and hermetic systems to manufacture refrigerated counters and cabinets. However, throughout the years Rivacold reached an important position as a manufacturer and distributor of components of refrigeration and air conditioning appliances.

    Les réfrigérants naturels sont l'alternative écologique aux réfrigérants qui appauvrissent la couche d'ozone et provoquent des émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Toutefois, leur utilisation nécessite des qualifications théoriques et pratiques spécifiques afin que les techniciens et même les opérateurs puissent travailler sur les systèmes de réfrigération en toute sécurité.

    For this Cool Talk, we had the opportunity to interview Mr. Damon Wyatt, Vice President and General Manager of Kysor Warren (part of EPTA Group), a leading brand of commercial refrigeration system that offers customers natural refrigeration technologies, including transcritical CO2 (R744) systems and hydrocarbon display cases. The company, understanding that the market is ripe for the uptake of natural refrigerant-based technology, is actively installing and advocating for such systems.

    " Faites confiance aux dames", tel était le thème de l'événement parallèle de l'OEWG organisé par la GIZ le lundi 3 juillet 2023. L'événement parallèle a montré que de nombreuses femmes sont des techniciennes du froid qualifiées, mais que les femmes sont toujours confrontées à des obstacles dans ce secteur dominé par les hommes.

  • 05/06/2023 Actualité Formation des formateurs au Mali

    En février 2023 le projet ROCA Mali a organisé avec succès deux sessions de formations d'une semaine chacune au bénéfice des formateurs sur les systèmes de réfrigération et de climatisation qui fonction avec les hydrocarbures natures. Les participants ont appris à utiliser en toute sécurité des réfrigérants naturels respectueux de l'environnement tels que le CO2, le butane et le propane et, plus important encore, à transmettre leurs connaissances.
