Meilleures pratiques Cooling blanket for healthy sleep
According to a survey by a health insurance company in Germany, one in three people has trouble sleeping in summer temperatures. This poses a threat to health, concentration and performance. That's why the new, actively cooling E.COOLINE blanket now helps you to get a restful night's sleep - even when there are heat records. The soft material fits softly against the body, allowing you a healthy night's rest wherever you are. In addition, the cooling textiles are hygienic, antibacterial and washable. No external energy source or refrigerator is needed for cooling. This means that the products cool CO2-free and thus not only protect peoples health, but also protect the climate and your wallet. Cooling curtains and room dividers will also be available soon. This makes it possible to cool rooms in an environmentally friendly way with the COOLINE SX3 green cooling technology. …
Meilleures pratiques Design Optimization
Many times we find that products are designed to meet quick timelines, rushing to achieve the best performance possible in as short an engineering cycle as can be obtained. This often leads to a "trial and error" approach. Mathematically rigorous optimization can find a LOT of room for improvement - and doesn't have to be time consuming or delay product development cycles. Leveraging the right approach and software can make a big difference in achieving greater product performance. …
Meilleures pratiques Ducted Air Conditioner with R290 (propane)
The Starlight FCD290 and CV290 series provide higher performance thanks to the thermodynamic properties of the R290 natural refrigerant. It was designed to become a 100% ecofriendly option for the environment in the A/C industry. Each component used in the units guarantees high durability, operational stability an safety. The most relevant fact is that Thermotar carried out the project conversion of production line for a propane use in order to contribute the phase-out of 0.73 ODP tons (13.27 metric tons) of HCFC-22. The company have acquired a special process cabin for hydrocarbon handling that has the respective monitoring devices for process safety and a constant automated exhaust system according to the process conditions. …
Meilleures pratiques Good practices in the use of alternative substances to Hydrochlorofluorocarbons
Mexico has demonstrated its leadership in the area of climate change by establishing synergies for the efficient use of energy and the protection of the ozone layer, as well as by fulfilling its commitments with the Montreal Protocol in a timely manner. As proof of this, in 2010 the consumption of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), substances used in refrigeration, air conditioning, aerosols and polyurethane foams, was totally eliminated in the country. That is why for the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) it is a priority to continue the policies and actions that contribute to mitigating and reducing the major global environmental problems that are climate change damage to the ozone layer. …
Meilleures pratiques Liquid ice containers for refrigerated transport
Since 2016, Colruyt has been transporting its fresh products in self-developed refrigerated containers. The Liquid Ice Containers (LIC) keep the products cool with liquid ice and are 73% more climate-friendly than the classic refrigerated containers that use CO2. Colruyt has recently started to use even more eco-friendly liquid ice containers for the transport of frozen products to the shops. Liquid ice is a frozen but liquid mixture of water and ethanol or salt. The refrigerant with minuscule grains of ice has a much lower climate impact than the current alternatives. …
Meilleures pratiques Literature: ACCELERATE, the magazine about natural refrigerants-based technology
Published by Shecco, the Accelerate magazine is written for and about the most progressive business leaders working with natural refrigerant technologies in the HVAC&R sectors. The free monthly or quarterly magazine is available for the North American, European, Japanese and Australian market. As the first online and print magazine for and about business leaders in natural refrigerant-based technologies, Accelerate reports on innovations, markets and technological trends. The magazine features stories and detailed analysis by consumers, suppliers, regulators and other key stakeholders of natural refrigerant-based technologies. …
Meilleures pratiques Literature: Chilling Facts
The seventh edition of the Environmental Investigation Agency’s (EIAs) Chilling Facts demonstrates that the uptake of HFC-free technology is rapidly advancing in the EU, especially in Eastern and Southern member countries. Since 2008, EIA has been conducting surveys on the use of natural refrigerants in various EU supermarket chains. Annual reports document the market-shift towards climate-friendly refrigerants among some of the world’s leading retailers, as well as warning slow adopters of possible financial problems. In the lastest edition of Chilling Facts, the EIA estimates that 9000 CO2 transcritical systems are in use EU-wide. 6000 additional systems are expected yearly as the EU F-gas phase down progresses. Moreover, innovative CO2 transcritical systems with parallel compression and ejector technology will enable the use of CO2 systems in warm countries. …
Meilleures pratiques Literature: The Cold Link Africa
The Cold Link Africa is a bimonthly newspaper focusing on all aspects of refrigeration, distributed to the entire South African refrigeration industry. It is a product of Interact Media Defined, one of South Africa’s leading multi-media magazine publishers. The first edition of the Cold Link (Africa) was published 30 years ago. The newspaper covers the cold chain from producer to consumer, and includes regular features, industry news, global events as well as policies and regulations. As such, it is of interest to all consumers, suppliers and contractors in the refrigeration industry. The readership of The Cold Link Africa made evident that the South African refrigeration industry requires coordination between all stakeholders of the cold chain. This gave birth to the South African Refrigeration Distribution Association (SARDA) in 1990. …
Meilleures pratiques Maintaining our air conditioning system
During the cold season we do maintenance and service of air conditioning systems. We get the filters/system filters cleaned up, gas charging if required and any worn out parts are repaired or replaced during this season. …
Meilleures pratiques Manejo Seguro de Hidrocarburos en el Sector Refrigeración y Aire Acondicionado
The project seeks to provide the basic knowledge that refrigeration and air conditioning technicians must apply for the safe handling and application of hydrocarbon refrigerants. We use a reference guide for technicians and personnel in charge of the installation, repair and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. …
