German manufacturer of the eChiller - A centrifugal chiller using water as safe and environmentally friendly refrigerant (R718), saving up to 80% electricity compared to best in class HFC alternative Chillers.
The Efficient Energy GmbH is a young and innovative company in Feldkirchen near Munich, Germany where meanwhile more than 45 employees develop environmental benign and commercially viable refrigeration and air conditioning solutions.
The team has succeeded in developing a low capacity centrifugal chiller using only water (R718) as refrigerant. In addition, the machine - the eChiller - sets through its operational mode a new standard of energy efficiency, as up to 80% power savings compared to state of the art technologies can be achieved. Since early 2015, this is confirmed also by field tests. In the coming years the eChiller will as an economically and technically benign solution revolutionize the removal or the use of waste heat by an up to now unreached environmental and economic performance.
