Naturally refrigerated
We were the first to convert our complete range of refrigerators to CFC-free refrigerants and blowing agents.
We now only use the natural refrigerants R600, R290 and R170. These are specially designed for highly efficient compressors and also result in lower energy consumption and electricity costs.
EcoVadis Gold
We handle the issue of Corporate Responsibility holistically and at all stages of the product life cycle. Our efforts have been awarded gold for 2023 by EcoVadis, the world’s leading Corporate Social Responsibility ratings agency.
We are proud to be among the top 3% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
As we continue to develop our products cooling technologies like BioFresh or DuoCooling have been developed for our domestic appliances to reduce food waste by maintaining freshness. Within BluPerformance balance is perfected: We have integrated all of the refrigeration technology in the appliance base. As a result, the appliances of the same size have a considerably greater net capacity. More space, a improvement in energy efficiency and appliances which are even quieter are a great result.
A major step towards an energy-efficient and recyclable future is the development of worlds first: BluRoX. To transform cooling and freezing in a sustainable way, the pioneering BluRoX technology from Liebherr does not simply use conventional polyurethane foam but instead utilises a much more effective form of cold insulation: a vacuum. Finely ground lava stone, known as perlite, stabilises the vacuumed components – with numerous advantages for people and the environment.
