On 12th of February 2018, GIZ Proklima’s C4 project entered cooperation with Philippine’s Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on training program on proper installation and servicing of energy-efficient hydrocarbon (R-290) split-type air conditioners.
The partnership consists specifically of training local technicians in the installation, maintenance and operation of energy-efficient hydrocarbon-based (R290) split-type air conditioning systems. Eight of these systems and all the necessary tools for efficient handling of the devices will be made available to TESDA by the project C4.
The one-week training programme is scheduled for May 2018 and includes the training of a total of 32 technicians from various parts and training centers across the country. TESDA has also decided to conduct performance tests on the new air conditioners in its Green Center.
