02.07.2018 , News :

It might be the first of its kinds worldwide: the new, unique RAC training truck trailer of the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA) will soon tour through Costa Rica. This 350 million Costa-Rica-Colónes (about EUR 531,000) investment aims to provide mobile and nationwide training for up to 250 technicians per year in the RAC sector.

The truck trailer, equipped with eight refrigeration workstations and a theoretical training room, serves as a fully equipped and mobile training centre. Due to its multi-functionality, the truck trailer has practical refrigeration training equipment and all required tools, allowing the INA to provide other training and professional development services, according to the demand of the labour market. Moreover, the trailer is equipped with a generator and fully air-conditioned

INA is thus responding to the need for good training and corresponding certification of RAC technicians in the country. According to a decision by the Costa Rican government, the INA is responsible for the nation-wide training of technicians who must meet the ozone and climate protection requirements set out in the Montreal Protocol.

GIZ Proklima already discussed with INA to utilise the trailer for trainings on natural refrigerants in the future, as part of the projectC4.
