On the 11th and 12th November, the Green Cooling Initiative held a successful International Negotiation Skills Training right after the MOP 31 in Rome, Italy.
The hands-on training, carried out in cooperation with the Centre for Multilateral Negotiations (CEMUNE), aimed to improve the negotiation skills of representatives of National Ozone Offices in French-speaking African countries under the Montreal Protocol.
Following two successful negotiation skills trainings in English last year, the Green Cooling Initiative offered a training in French. 15 participants from 13 countries got theoretical and practical inputs on key elements to consider to maximize the benefits of their participation to the negotiations held under the Montreal Protocol. Both individual negotiation skills building and overall group effectiveness were addressed.
