Event re­cor­ding: Un­der­stan­ding Mea­su­re­ment, Re­porting, and Ve­ri­fi­ca­ti­on (MRV) in the coo­ling sec­tor

When it comes to climate action in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, effective measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of emissions is critical. It helps countries understand from which sub-sectors emissions are coming and how they can best be tackled. This forms the basis for developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies. The challenge: Data collection is often not systematic and the MRV approach not clear.

Launch event of MRV handbook: For this reason, GIZ Proklima/C4 developed a handbook for practitioners. The interactive handbook outlines a blueprint MRV system based on international best practices and is applicable to different national contexts. It provides a practical step-by-step approach for policy makers and enforcement bodies.
